I recently coauthored this article examining the underappreciated data security risks introduced by generative AI. Unlike traditional threats, these risks stem from AI functioning as intended, interacting with enterprise data in ways that bypass conventional controls and increase unintended exposure. As organizations rapidly adopt these technologies, the need for disciplined data governance and visibility becomes essential to maintaining security.
